Customer Support

Buying with us

How can I buy from you?

You can buy wines and spirits directly from Berry Bros. & Rudd by phone, in person at our shops and online. If you need any assistance or would like to order by phone, then please contact us .

With BBX, our fine wine exchange, you can bid on and buy wine from other customers. All wines listed with BBX are In Bond and therefore, subject to Duty and VAT should they be delivered in the UK.

You can choose to buy wines directly from us and from a seller on BBX in a single order. You can also buy wines En Primeur or lying abroad.

You can also buy wines using our auction platform. We host seasonal auctions and you can find out more about them here .

Can I choose to buy In Bond or Duty Paid?

The majority of our wines can be bought In Bond. They must be unmixed cases, which are usually six or 12 bottles, 24 half bottles, or three or six magnums. In Bond prices do not include UK duty or VAT, and can only be delivered to a UK address once these taxes have been paid.

If you buy In Bond wines for delivery outside the UK then you will not have to pay UK duty or VAT, but local taxes, duties, and customs clearance charges may apply in the destination country.

If you buy wine that’s stored elsewhere In Bond, you can choose to have it transferred to our warehouse without paying any duty or VAT, subject to an inspection. You can browse wines to buy In Bond or for delivery direct from Berry Bros. & Rudd, but all wines listed for sale with BBX are sold In Bond. There is a box at the top of each page which allows you to search either Duty Paid products (for delivery) or In Bond products (for storing with us).

I can’t find the wine I’m after.

All our current products are listed on our website. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, please contact us .

I want to buy someone else a case of wine, and for them to own it. How do I do this?

We do not offer a service for customers to gift wine In Bond or to build a collection stored with Berry Bros. & Rudd with the intention for it to be wholly owned and managed by the recipient (also referred to as “beneficial owner service”). However, you can still gift wine In Bond by adding the item to your own cellar and Berry Bros. & Rudd can provide a gift letter for the intended beneficiary. However, the legal owner will be you (not the intended beneficiary) and you will be liable for storage charges and the management of that item on behalf of the recipient.
