This wine is produced from a 0.8-hectare parcel of vines located in the south-facing Côte Rozier amphitheatre. Here, surrounded by dry stone walls reflecting the day’s heat, vines benefit from a notably warm microclimate. This is ripe and juicy, laced with red and black cherries. The 90% new oak is wonderfully integrated, adding only a hint of spice. It is ethereal and vibrant.

Critics reviews
Lovely Brune-style aromatics here: dark, deep and resonant. Fairly full-bodied and decidedly round, with mouthcoating clay tannins. The oak is well balanced here, adding weight and spice to the fruit. It’s generous for a 2021, with good acidity. From a south-facing parcel of Côte Rozier, all destemmed, and malolactic takes place in new barriques, where it spends 18 months.

Tasted blind. Quite closed on the nose. Very soft and textured tannins with good concentration of red fruits, smoke, violet and strawberry and zesty fresh acidity. Sensuous and soft. Will drink early.
Drink 2024 - 2032
The 2021 Côte Rôtie Rose Pourpre has a touch more purity and precision while still playing in the fresher, pretty style of the vintage. Black raspberries, sappy flowers, and minty notes all define the bouquet, and it's medium-bodied and balanced on the palate, with integrated acidity and fine tannins.
About this wine
Côte-Rôtie
Côte-Rôtie stands as one of the Rhône Valley’s most revered appellations, producing Syrah-based wines of remarkable depth and complexity. Its steep, sun-soaked slopes have been cultivated since Roman times, yet the region’s modern reputation for excellence is a relatively recent triumph. Today, Côte-Rôtie is synonymous with precision, elegance, and longevity—qualities that place its finest bottles alongside the world’s most sought-after wines.
