Description
Distilled over 45 years ago, almost 80 years after Tomatin was first established, this spirit has spent the entirety of its maturation in hand-selected traditional oak hogshead casks – giving the whisky a distinctive flavour. There's strawberry liqueur and roasted coconut alongside the spicy aged character and notes of rich chocolate. Awarded Gold Outstanding at the IWSC and scooping the highest possible score (99), this was a joy to taste alongside the 1977 and the 1978. It is a rare treat indeed to sample anything from the 1970's, more so when it is this delicious.
