Description
The 2022 Vougeot Blanc Le Clos de Prieuré has a refined bouquet with much more delineation and tension than the last vintage. It offers touches of yellow fruit and light beeswax aromas. The oak here is nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with lemon thyme, orange pith, and light wild peachy notes. It needs more tension and precision on the finish; otherwise, it would have merited a higher score.

A monopole of the domaine with .83 ha planted to Chardonnay.
Moderate wood sets off exotic aromas of passion fruit, lychee and white peach. The rich and very generously proportioned middle-weight flavours brim with sappy dry extract that coats the palate on the powerful, rustic, youthfully austere and light stony finale. At least a few years of bottle ageing should also be helpful here.

Mid lemon yellow. The bouquet is much more distinguished here than the Beaune. Then, a fine lifting acidity to the back, a little toast from the barrel, not exaggerated, helps to make a thoroughly interesting white village Vougeot.
