Anyone looking for a refreshing and energetic expression of white Burgundy would do well to choose Sébastien Magnien's Bourgogne Blanc. It is a delightfully crisp and saline Bourgogne Blanc, made entirely in barrel from 30-year-old vines in the Hautes-Côtes. There is even a touch of sophistication from the struck-match reduction on the nose.

Critics reviews
???Quite chewy and chalky after appetising fruit.
Drink 2024 - 2028
Pretty lemon yellow, with a touch of baked apple. This could use freshening up, which will happen shortly. There is a firm intensity on the palate, with much fresher apple and greengage fruit, fair tension, and length.

About this wine
Bourgogne
In the Burgundy hierarchy, “Bourgogne” denotes the entry level of the classification system. This is a so-called “regional” appellation, theoretically covering the entire vineyard area of Burgundy. This is distinct from the more geographically precise village-level, Premier Cru and Grand Cru designations. The two most common Bourgogne-level wines are Bourgogne Blanc (“White Burgundy”) and Bourgogne Rouge (“Red Burgundy”).
