Description
This cuvée – made from the fruit of 65-year-old vines – is fermented and aged for the first year in barrel, then into tank before bottling. Olivier and Théo decided to keep more of the solids after pressing to add a bit more fat to the wine. The spicy reduction is absolutely on point. Racy and spicy wine.

Critics reviews
From 65+-year-old vines.
A more layered, if otherwise similar, nose gives way to almost painfully intense medium-bodied flavours that possess even better mid-palate density while exhibiting solid length on the serious, firm and moderately austere finale. In contrast to the prior two wines, this would be best left alone for at least 2 to 3 years to better round out.
Drink from 2026 onward
The 2021 Mâcon La Roche Vineuse Vieilles Vignes comes from vines from 60 to 80 years old sourced from five parcels. This has a winsome nose with white peach, Conference pear and light chalk scents that are contained and focused. The palate is medium-bodied with a lightly spiced entry and fine acidity. It's saline in the mouth with a twist of lemon rind on the finish. Very commendable.
