Allen Meadows 88/100
From Les Chênes and Les Chambres.
A slightly riper nose offers up a bit more aromatic nuance with its array of pepper, warm earth and red and dark berries. The rich and solidly voluminous medium-weight flavours are at once generously proportioned yet retain reasonably good detail on the ever-so-mildly warm finale. This too is a competent villages.
Drink from 2025 onward
About this wine
Chassagne-Montrachet
When it comes to the world's greatest white wines, the border between Chassagne and Puligny is the treasure at the end of the rainbow. Within a few hundred metres lie five wonderful Grands Crus, three of which are in Chassagne. They are led by the luscious Le Montrachet, to which Chassagne gained permission in 1879, along with Puligny, to hyphenate its name.
