Description
Thibault considers this his “Premier Cru” of Moulin-à-Vent. The vineyard is at the top of the hill, close to the windmill, on pink granite. This is the most intense wine in the range, sparkling with granitic minerality. Most vines are nearly 100 years old. There is texture, finesse, length and sinew. This has a graceful, beguiling strength.

Containing 40% whole cluster, the 2020 Nuits Saint-Georges La Charmotte comes from the north of the appellation. This feels quite candied on the nose, a little savory in style with fresh mint developing with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a supple entry, lightly spiced with veins of dark chocolate towards the finish. Fine.
