Description
This wine has a gorgeous bouquet of black berry fruit, and subtle floral and smoky aromas which need coaxing from the glass. It’s always a cool customer, from the relatively cool, windswept Es Chezots. The warm growing season in 2019 adds a touch more padding to the mid-palate, and there’s a fresh, chalky finish.

Critics reviews
Rich powerful purple, the nose is quite backward yet showing weight, while the fruit is properly concentrated on the palate and shows enough freshness of red fruit. No black forest and no chocolate here. But Longeroies is the most exciting.
The 2019 Marsannay Es Chezots is one of the most impressive on the nose among Laurent Fournier’s cuvées with black cherries, cassis and briary aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannins. There is a discrete marine influence, touches of oyster shell and sea salt on the finish of this splendid and sophisticated Marsannay.
