Description
Mario Fontana blends his Castiglione Falletto Valetti cru with his wife Luisa’s Gallinotto vineyard of La Morra. The wine undergoes a slow fermentation, followed by a long maceration with submerged cap, followed by two years in Slovenian botti and one year in cement prior to bottling. While this is closed now, it displays incredible mineral purity. There is a classical grip to the tannins, supported by fruit richness, and the finish is long yet effortlessly composed.

Barolo
Piedmont's most famous wine DOCG (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita), Barolo is renowned for producing Italy's finest reds from 100 percent Nebbiolo. The Barolo appellation was formalised in 1966 at around 1,700 hectares, and has an exceptional terroir with almost every village perched on its own hill.
