Critics reviews

Jasper Morris MW 91/100

Mid lemon yellow. Some iodine notes, otherwise a rather covert bouquet. Time in the glass starts to bring out a little fruit. Here again, the balance between the volume of fruit and the ripeness is working well. The aftertaste has a balanced sensuality without losing sight of Chablis. It's a bit oaky at the finish, with some dark toasty notes.

The 2018 Chablis Montée de Tonnerre 1er Cru is another stellar wine in this range. The 2018 emerges from two parcels totalling 1.2 hectares in the Pied d'Aloup climat, the highest part of Montée de Tonnerre, which likely explains its energy, brightness, and focus. Citrus, white flowers, crushed rocks, white pepper, and chalk add striking aromatic top notes to this finely sculpted Chablis. I loved it.
