Description
This Aqua Vitae is a malt-based spirit with added local botanicals.
The nose is delightfully tropical with aromas of banana bread and cinnamon. Herbal notes of ginger and fennel provide a robust backbone and the recipe’s Douglas Fir offers a pleasing medicinal quality.
On the palate, flavours reminiscent of Scots Pine and soft caramel mingle with a cooked pineapple finish. The alcohol is beautifully integrated with an eminent yet soft warmth. This is delicious neat over ice but is a real showstopper with ginger ale and an orange twist.
